KALEIDOSCOPE UPSTATE

KALEIDOSCOPE has expanded upstate, in search of room to roam and air to breathe, space to share and space to grow.

Located three hours north of Brooklyn, between Albany and Saratoga Springs, nestled in the mountains in the village of Cambridge, NY, KALEIDOSCOPE extends its operations within a historic church at the edge of town: offering daytime programming for residents of the village, and hosting overnight stays, retreats, and residencies for artists seeking a quiet escape from the city.

We are so excited to invite you to come stay, rest, retreat, and more.

apply for our residency

Our current residency program offers low-cost combined housing and studio space for one artist for a period of either two weeks to one month in our Cambridge church, three hours from the city, with opportunity to use the church not only as your home base, but as a workspace to spread out and grow your practice, in the peace of a rural mountain village. There is opportunity to lead programming for the residents of the village, and to show work in a final exhibition at both the Cambridge and Brooklyn locations upon the completion of your stay.

If you would like to learn more, or propose a group residency project, please reach out to us directly via email!

While we are currently financially unable to provide residency programs at no cost to the artist, this is certainly a goal we are hoping to grow into in the future. To donate to make this possible, click here.
